Job Description:

• The role will be the primary Supply Chain Management (SCM) contact for ARAMARK Quebec and GESPRA and will focus on leveraging and developing contracts to support the businesses.
• For the first year of this positions' existence, it will however, primarily focus on GESPRA.
• The position will be initially based in Quebec, but could eventually move to Toronto once fully engaged and experienced with the Quebec marketplace.


Responsibilities:

• Direct Company Purchases Through Authorized Distributors and Suppliers of Specified Products, by communicating with the Regional Vice President, District Managers, Front Line (Component) Managers and through a regular review of monthly purchasing reports.
• Finalize, Customize and Adapt Existing Supplier and Distribution agreements for Quebec.
• Ensure Compliance to ARAMARK Standards and Product Specifications, by working with the distributors to ensure their understanding of the program and by monitoring the participation of suppliers.
• In addition, facilitate the training and education of RVPs, DMs and FLMs about specified products.
• Conduct Formal Business Reviews with Distributors, Suppliers and Operating Management, by implementing a formal process of meetings to review past performance, identify problems, explore opportunities and to discuss future goals common to the business.
• Qualify and Support Component Requests for Supplier Authorization, by routine review of requests from DMs and FLMs for use of various suppliers.
• Negotiate Price and Direct Distribution contracts for Quebec, where product and service agreements are not currently available, and through a process of exploring options for Quebec-based suppliers that compliment national programs currently in place.
• This process involves the gathering of data, coordination with RVPs and DMs, preparation of RFPs if necessary, solicitation of proposals from potential suppliers, evaluation of proposals, selection of supplier, notification of decision and implementation of program.
• Assist Director of Finance, with the monitoring and proper use of ARAMARK systems, improving response time, communication efficiency and promoting the use of ARAMARK tracking systems with the supplier base.
• Function as the Primary Resource in Quebec for ARAMARK Supply Chain Management, by acting as the primary purchasing contact person for ARAMARK Quebec, GESPRA Services, Distributors, Suppliers and Manufacturers.
• Also assist with Component openings, participate in district and regional meetings, have direct client contact (when requested) to discuss purchasing related matters and act as an advisor to both ARAMARK and Suppliers in problem resolution.


Qualifications:

• Post secondary education plus a minimum 5 years of direct experience, specifically within procurement.
• Experience working within the foodservice industry preferred.
• Proven negotiation skills in limited-leverage situations.
• Ability to review, comment and add value to supply agreement terms and conditions.
• Exceptional analytical abilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure, establish priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, fluently bilingual in English and French (written and oral).
• Available to travel occasionally.
