Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this position requires an individual with the ability to balance various tasks/demands in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• For new initiatives and identified issues gather the required detail information, perform in depth analysis and recommend to the manager the appropriate approach/actions to resolve issues.
• Providing value-add supply chain analysis in a high paced accounting environment.
• Assisting in the day to day management of supply chain related projects.
• In conjunction with the Manager, design and implement organizational accounting processes to support new initiatives and identified issues resulting in value added change.
• Monitoring compliance with inventory and equipment related policies and controls.
• Assisting the Manger in ensuring all account reconciliation and control activities are operational.
• Completing complex account reconciliations developing an in-depth understanding of the related accounting with the ability to effectively document and explain the accounting transactions.
• Assisting Manager with the assessment of project implementation scope and risks.
• Liaising with all levels of management across many different functional departments.
Qualifications
• Strong technical accounting skills with an accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) or the equivalent accounting experience with 3 to 4 years experience in a fast paced challenging accounting and special projects environment.
• Excellent ERP and Microsoft software skills, (knowledge of Oracle Inventory, Oracle Financials, and Rogers' billing systems preferred).
• Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to analyze and solve complex key issues.
• Organized and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Driven, customer focused and result oriented self starter with a "Can Do" attitude.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
• Able to commit to increased work volume on periodic basis.
• Be an effective contributor as well as a strong team player.
• Proven team management and organization skills.
