Description:

• The Access Network Division is an energetic global team that develops products which hold the lead in market position.
• By providing support to high profile R&D projects, you will gain valuable work experience, insight, and exposure to Operations and R&D.


This position will provide experience in two areas:

• R&D development through Lab Support:
– Inventory management of lab equipment.
– Shipping/Receiving.
– Test Equipment set up and use.
– Support the global R&D team.
– PC/Workstation management.
– Support Laboratory floor space management.
– Rework activities - cable set-up, text fixture, etc.

• Support R&D projects through Supply Chain Management activities:
– Manage supply chain tasks by working cooperatively with Alcatel-Lucent divisions in the North/South America, USA, Europe, and Asia.
– Working with Business Operating Systems (SAP, Oracle).


Qualifications:

• Co-op student registered in a recognized Co-Op or Intern Program at a Canadian College or University (Electrical/electronics, Computer, or Supply Chain Management).


Essential:

• Knowledge of SAP, MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Outlook are desirable skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
