Description:
• Coach and mentor direct reports to provide contracts support to all projects including solicitation preparation and evaluation, contract negotiation and closeout.
• Coach and mentor the contracts team to forecast, plan and execute processes to ensure that contracts are finalized within the required time frame and deliver the best value for the projects.
• Conduct annual performance management for direct reports including training and career planning.
• Develop and manage a succession plan for the team.
• Develop and execute a subcontract management strategy that leverages the use of agreements for common service providers across the division.
• Leads the development of the negotiation strategies for strategic partnership alliances (including supplier of choice agreements) and assists where appropriate in the contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to add value to Flint Infrastructure.
• Maintain management services agreements and associated service level agreements for Flint Infrastructure and affiliates.
• Develop and recommend strategic contract initiatives to meet business requirements.
• Manage the contract and subcontract requirement planning process based on project planning and schedules and strategic supply development initiatives.
• Manage and oversee compliance to internal and external regulatory processes (CSOX, ISO and ABSA).
• Lead conflict resolution between supplier deliverables and business requirements.
• Build strategic relationships with suppliers, delivering continuous improvement through Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Supplier Performance Management (SPM).
• Develop relationships with the Sr. Project Manager and Program Directors to ensure the project and program support requirements are clearly defined and client business requirements are understood.
• Provide recommendations to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) and other Functional groups with regards to processes, monitoring and system requirements.
Job Requirements:
• The incumbent should have strong supervisory and leadership skills, as well as a strong business acumen.
• Knowledgeable within contract development including the use of legal terms and conditions; strong ability to interpret complex legal documents.
• Possesses well honed negotiation skills, and proven management and delegation ability.
• Excellent analytical, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage workload amid tight deadlines.
• Minimum of Undergraduate Degree required.
• Minimum of 10+ years experience required.
• Experience preferably within the industrial construction and/or Oil & Gas.
• 5+ years experience in Contract Management is required.
• 5+ years supervisory experience is required.
