Description:
• As a member of the SIOP team, the Supply Planner works closely with Operations team to generate a supply response to the demand plan.
• The Supply Planner also works closely with the Material Planner to understand risks and opportunities in the business plan, and how to manage changes.
• The Supply Planner develops capacity and production plans, inventory plans, and supplier plans.
• He or she is responsible for performance in customer delivery, inventory, and operations cost.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Receive monthly demand plans from commercial teams and demand planner.
• Incorporate service strategy in stocking policies and inventory parameters.
• Gather/confirm planning input information - bill of materials, available capacity, etc.
• Perform rough cut capacity planning for key work centers for 12-18 month horizon.
• Resolve any exceptions (over or under capacity) by changing available labor or equipment, pre-building inventory, etc.
• Develop inventory projections based on current demand and supply plans.
• Support requirements planning with key suppliers, including sharing requirements and problem solving.
• Facilitate SIOP supply review.
• Prepare data ahead of time, including plans, issues, and recommended solutions.
• Track issues through action log.

• Software Applications:
– Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access).
– Familiarity with Supply Planning applications.

– The entire SIOP process, including Demand Planning and Supply Planning.
– Knowledge of Sourcing and Finance helpful.
• Interpersonal Skills:
– Communication - Superior oral and written communication skills.
– Ability to work well both in a team and independently and to understand decision-making structures.
Qualifications:
• Good first degree augmented with strong manufacturing/supply chain/logistics experience.
• Black Belt or Lean Expert qualification an advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in operations, sourcing or supply chain management.
• Clear success in the delivery of planning capabilities, ideally in a complex, high volume, high variability environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (AS/400, JBA, and/or SAP a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional, team oriented environment.
