Description:
• Support day-to-day procurement requirements for projects, facility and SG&A and strategic material (and assigned service) contracting initiatives.
• Utilize previous experience and formal training to coordinate and administer purchasing activities ensuring compliance to processes, procedures and Project protocols.
• Support the timely acquisition of materials and services within and outside Flint Energy Services commercial streams.
• Supports material requirement planning process in both static and dynamic phases of the project.
• Demonstrates a commitment to influence and support Flint's business objectives.
• Utilize process streams to execute the duties and activities of this function.
• Display a strong knowledge of industrial maintenance and construction commodities.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance of the internal and external regulatory processes (i.e. CSOX, ISO, ABSA).
• Ensure compliance to project Construction Execution Plan (CEP); including utilization of client or FISL Supplier of Choice (SOC) agreements.
• Manage all documentation and support the client turnover package process.
• Identify, deliver and report on opportunities for cost reduction and/or process improvement.
• Supports the ongoing development of procurement plans and procedures for all projects.
• Monitors external suppliers and internal supply chains to ensure compliance with approved commercial terms, including expediting when required.
• Conducts solicitation, evaluation, and negotiation of terms, conditions and delivery arrangements (RFI, RFQ) of purchase orders.
• Participate with contract initiatives as required.
• Responsible for identifying and approving new suppliers, maintaining approved supplier databases, supplier performance management and supplier relationship management.
• Actively participate to identify areas of opportunity and barriers for effective performance.
• Participate in project implementation and close-out activities.
• Utilization of procurement reports to manage suppliers.
• Adhere to Flint Infrastructure processes including the Supply Chain procurement process.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of College Diploma/Certification required.
• No professional designation required.
• Member of PMAC or APICS considered an asset.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience required.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge in industrial maintenance and construction commodities.
