Description:

This position is responsibility for managing timeliness and availability of finished goods from Colgate Plants (Canadian and Global) and contract manufacturers for arrival to shipment points/warehouses/customers while minimizing levels of inventory and maximizing service levels through the use of the systems provided (SAP/APO).


Specific Responsibilities:

• Ensure the execution of productions plans from negotiations through production receipt.
• With respect to new product introductions, liaise with Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing on sourcing options, time lines and planning requirements.
• Determine the optimal inventory/reorder points and production schedule changes in conjunction with plant production planners.
• Maintain MRP/APO parameters in SAP.
• Develop production planning/inventory process improvements.


Qualifications:

• Post secondary degree/diploma in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent.
• APICS Fundamentals diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 2-3 years experience in inventory management and the sourcing of finished and manufactured goods in a marketing oriented consumer products organization is preferred.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft applications Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes, SAP.
• Demonstrated competencies - planning/priority setting, effective execution, analysis/decision making, influence/negotiation, communication skills.
