The successful applicant will provide key support to the financial business planning and cost performance management processes within the Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain (M&SC) organization, focusing on product cost performance management, variance analysis, business engagement and other management reporting activities.
Responsibilities:
• Coordination/Leadership of cross functional product development teams.
• Work closely with the Manufacturing Supply Chain team, Hardware Engineering, and Product Management to review and analyze cost roll-ups and variances to target costs.
• Review, analyze, and impact cost trends over time.
• Champion cost comparisons across various products, and brand families.
• Supplemental comparisons between product families, technologies, and geography.
• Satisfy a variety of ad-hoc requests for cost performance analytics.
• Provide in-depth analysis & insight on cost drivers and opportunities to reduce costs.
• Develop cost models/estimates for in-life and development products to allow management to make decisions on products, mix, and markets.
• Requires an understanding of the collection, extraction, and manipulation of data from multiple sources such as SAP and various business intelligence reports.
• Provide insight and support to developing cost performance reports in business objects.
• Work on other projects as required.
• Provide planning support for product costing initiatives.
Qualifications:
• University degree in Business/Finance, enrollment in CMA/CGA/MBA program an asset.
• 3-5 years of budgeting/financial analysis and cost accounting experience preferably within a large complex global manufacturing environment.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership to meet deliverables on time as committed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact comfortably and effectively with all levels (including non-finance employees).
• Proven time management and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, handle fluctuating workloads, and work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills a must, PowerPoint, SAP, Cognos preferred or equivalent financial ERP / planning systems and ability to learn new systems quickly.
