Description:

• This position is an integrated role encompassing Supply Chain Management, Procurement and MRP.
• Sandvine is an assemble-to-order with variant configuration manufacturer of high tech systems.
• We are seeking an experienced high energy Supply Chain/Planning Director to optimize/implement best practices in inventory/materials management, production planning and subcontractor/vendor management.
• Reporting to the VP Manufacturing Operations, this is a hands-on role that will further enable the organization’s growth strategy.


Specific responsibilities will include:

• Working with Sales and Manufacturing Operations to establish both long term and short term demand plans and material requirements.
• Using lean principles to optimize inventory, WIP and cycle time while achieving world class on-time delivery, inventory turns and obsolescence metrics.
• Supervising Senior Buyer in purchase order management.
• Working with Vendors to optimize Kanban, VMI and demand forecasting.
• Working with Engineering , Operations and Vendors to achieve cost reduction and cost avoidance targets.
• Establishing security of supply through supply agreements with key Vendors.
• Working with Product Managers and Engineering to enable efficient new product introduction and product lifecycle management (BOM’s, engineering prototypes, ramp plans, sourcing, inventory, EOL, ECO’s etc).
• Identifying and managing all aspects of supply chain risk.
• Accountability for master data quality including BOM’s, material master, vendor master, contacts/quotations etc.
• Participating in the implementation of a new SAP ERP system (integration testing, master data, cutover).
• Working with Quality and Vendors to report and feedback supplier scorecards and engage with Vendors in continuous improvement activities.


Skills:

• University or college (preferably in business or planning), APICs designation is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years in senior MRP/SCM individual contributor or management role.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to attend to detail while maintaining alignment to overall business requirements.
• Ability to adapt and drive change to support evolving business requirements.
• Background in manufacturing high tech sector is an asset.
• Deep knowledge of ERP systems and master data governance.
• Past experience in SAP is an asset.
• Demonstrated deep knowledge of lean supply chain and total quality principles.
• Contract and pricing terms and conditions, negotiation.
• Understanding of global logistics and transportation processes.
