Financial Analyst - Engineering and Supply Chain

Description:

This position reports to the manager, Engineering and Supply Chain, Montreal.


Your main responsibilities are the following:

• Act as a Business Partner (advisor) mainly for Engineering:
– Prepare monthly management reports to be presented to the managers.
– Analyze and reconcile actual vs. budget variances for direct labor, manufacturing overhead expenses, headcount, etc.
– Analyze and explain over / under apply of overhead expenses.
– Preparation of the governance for the engineering group.
– Meet the business partners to review their results.
– Follow-up with the business units to reconcile direct man-hours by program.

• Participate in month end process (journal entries, billing, SAP support).
• Analyze and consolidate the capital report.
• Participate in the implementation of IFRS standards.
• Participate in the budget process and strategic plans.
• Contribute to improving the procedures of the team and participate in the Achieving Excellence Program.
• Provide support for special projects.


Main Challenges:

• Collaboration with managers and financial analysts of various business units.
• Follow-up on budgets and active involvement at all levels of the organization.
• Collaboration and involvement in preparing financial statements for Engineering and Supply Chain.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate meets these requirements:

• Bachelor degree in accounting/finance.
• Professional title: CA, CMA, CGA (or in the process of obtaining it).
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bilingualism written and spoken (French, English).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Knowledge of SAP Essbase and Sybase would be an asset.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Autonomous, dynamic and detail oriented.
• Team spirit.
