Description:
• Supporting the vision of a fully integrated Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Process Analyst will work in partnership with Canadian Tire's Suppliers, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Transportation and Distribution teams, to seek people, process and technology improvements for Canadian Tire and its suppliers that are mutually beneficial and sustainable.
• The key focus is to develop Supply Chain solutions for marketing opportunities, reduce costs, increase capacity/productivity, and improve service.
• The Supply Chain Process Analyst works on one or more projects with Suppliers, Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, Operations Planning and/or Marketing.
• The goal of these projects will be to identify opportunities, develop strategies to improve the overall supply chain and implement these changes internally and externally.
• These projects will range from launching new suppliers and marketing programs, creation of business analysis tools, to the on-going support and improvement of existing partnerships and processes.
• Projects responsibilities will be to assess requirements, gather information, communicate with various stakeholders and facilitate meetings.
• The Supply Chain Process Analyst will also be responsible for performing the bulk of the analysis, evaluation of alternatives, and development of recommendations with the potential opportunity to lead the implementation.
Responsibilities:
• Working with various stakeholders, assess proposed processes in terms of organizational & process impacts.
• Challenging the status quo to find creative ways to improve the Supply Chain; making recommendations to internal and external stakeholders for improvement and/or elimination of non-value added activities in the supply chain.
• Implementation of solutions.
• Determining requirements as well as design and build analytical tools to support new and existing processes.
• Management of one or more tasks / projects while providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
• Support merchandising initiatives ensuring that supply chain solutions are in place to effectively service our customers.
• Support existing processes/ identify new opportunities that are focused on maintaining/improving service levels.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent in Engineering, Math, Business or related field.
• Well developed analytical skills & proactive problem solving skills using MS Excel or Access.
• Comfort in dealing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to negotiate and implement change.
• Ability to model processes and to determine financial implications of alternatives.
Assets:
• Logistics or manufacturing experience, including knowledge of supply chain processes.
• Project management skills and experience.
• Familiarity with Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) and forecasting systems and processes.
• Experience with facilities planning.
• Proven organization and planning skills and experience.
