On each page and for each function of the website, there are detailed instructions and information to guide you through the experience, but the following are the highlights that will give you a start in the right direction.
The purpose of ePurchasingJobs is to bring people with expertise in the purchasing/procurement industry together with employers that have a need for just those kinds of resources. The website has several functions to it, the most commonly used of which is:
The Job Search feature, which appears as a blue bar at the top of almost every page, allows all users to search the Jobs Database. You don’t have to be a member to search for jobs on the website, but you do need to be a member if you wish to apply for a posted job or if you wish to post jobs of your own.
It is here where the distinctions between the two types of member accounts available at ePurchasingJobs are made. The member accounts are divided into Job Seekers and Job Posters, the two halves of the equation we facilitate to put people with the skills and experience together with the organizations that could use them.
If you have experience in the purchasing/procurement field or you wish to get into it, then you are, by definition, what we call a Job Seeker. You seek the jobs that Job Posters place in the Jobs Database. Job Seekers never have to pay anything to be a member, search the Jobs Database, or apply for jobs. There are no features or programs at ePurchasingJobs that will cost Job Seekers anything. You are the prime commodity of the whole ePurchasingJobs initiative! Job Posters are paying to find you!
The first thing you should do is to create a member account on the website as a Job Seeker. Once you have a username and password to the website, fill in as much or as little personal information as you wish and upload a resume into the system (or several, if you like). Then it’s just a matter of searching for a job and, if it looks like the kind of thing you are interested in, applying for the job through the system and selecting the resume you want the Job Poster to receive.
That’s it in a nutshell. In addition to the job searching and job application features, Job Seekers can also save searches and even bookmark jobs that are appealing, but not something that they are interested in applying for at the moment.
If you represent an organization that has employment opportunities in the purchasing/procurement field and are looking to take advantage of a directed channel for skilled and experienced resources looking for such opportunities, then you are most likely what we consider a Job Poster.
ePurchasingJobs provides Job Seekers with the ability to search through its Jobs Database for the most relevant jobs out there for them. This is accomplished by Job Poster members submitting jobs into the database for set periods of time. The Jobs Database then indexes the content of those postings using a series of advanced and intricate applications which it then uses to return the most relevant results to search queries. This approach serves to put the resources and the prospective employers together in the most timely and effective way.
Registering as a Job Poster member is free and it costs nothing to maintain your membership. The only expenses that can be incurred by Job Posters are for the posting of jobs. Each posting costs one credit which can be purchased through your account. You can purchase as many or as few credits as you like, but you must have at least one credit in your account to be able to post a job.
Job Posters are also able to purchase a separate time-based service through their accounts that allows them to search an indexed database of resumes Job Seekers have elected to make viewable by prospective employers. If you are not necessarily interested in posting an opportunity and letting the resources come to you, you can take a proactive approach and search through the Resume Database to find the right person for the job.

In this day and age, recruiters often act as brokers between the employers and employees and, as such, you might require both the ability to post new job listings as well as the resumes of resources you are assisting in locating work. If you are one of these men and women behind the scenes, then ePurchasingJobs has a class of membership account specifically designed to serve you best.
Recruiter accounts give you the access and abilities of both a Job Poster and a Job Seeker. This allows you to post jobs for clients as well as look for opportunities for any resources you have in your roster. Have your cake and eat it too, all in one account!
The registration process for a Recruiter is nearly identical to that of the Job Poster. Just remember to make sure that the tick box for "Recruiter" is filled rather than the one for "Employer".
